Lambe Lambe Miniature Theatre / Omayra Martínez Garzón (ARG) / 8+
Author and performer: Omayra Martínez Garzón
Video editing: Sebastián Camacho
Spell is a magical and mystical game in which the inanimate comes to life. Objects, imagination and the spirit of the wind become the essential elements through which a world governed by cosmic forces appears before the spectator’s eyes.
Duration: 4 minutes per performance
Since 2011, Omayra Martínez Garzón has been working with Lambe Lambe theatre – a miniature theatrical form performed inside a small box for one spectator at a time. In this intimate, close-up encounter, she combines puppetry, object theatre and holographic projections, creating poetic microcosms in which the smallest things speak about the greatest matters.
She holds a degree in Performing Arts from the Universidad Nacional de San Martín and completed postgraduate studies in Object Theatre, Interactivity and New Media at the Universidad Nacional de las Artes in Buenos Aires. She works as an actress, puppeteer and performer, and also creates scenographic objects.
Her performances have been presented at festivals in Germany, Romania, Argentina, Chile, France, Brazil and Spain. She has also led Lambe Lambe theatre workshops in Colombia, Argentina, Germany, Romania and Spain.
