„Auntie, one more time”

Children’s imagination, the multicultural spirit of Podlasie and the energy of live music. “Auntie, one more time” is a family project by Karolina Cicha – one of the most distinctive artists on the Polish folk scene – created with children in mind, yet full of meaning, humour and musical joy for adults as well.
The programme includes songs about animals, the natural world and emotions. There are playful “animal songs”, “eco-songs” and “emotion songs” – pieces that entertain, move and help young listeners understand their feelings and look at the world more attentively. The lyrics by Karolina Cicha, Grzegorz Kasdepke and Dorota Borodaj combine lightness, rhythm, wit and tenderness.
The music, originally co-created with Spółka – Patrycja Betley, Karolina Matuszkiewicz and Mateusz Szemraj – draws on the multicultural sounds of Podlasie, combining folk energy with children’s spontaneity. The material grew out of a need for closeness, shared play and the endless repetition of favourite songs – exactly as the title suggests: “Auntie, one more time.”
It is a concert full of empathy, attentiveness and joy, inviting whole families to listen, sing and discover the world of sounds together.
