It is a meeting of tradition and modernity, rawness and emotion.
The group has toured across Europe, performing at renowned folk, ethno, world, and jazz festivals. They have received numerous awards, including the “Folk Album of the Year 2005” for their album Sounds & Shadows. Their records have also been released by international labels, including ARC Music (UK/USA).
Transkapela’s work has been widely covered in the press and media – including BBC, Polish Radio, TV Kultura, Songlines, Newsweek, and Gazeta Wyborcza. The band has also taken part in various artistic, theatrical, and educational projects, collaborating with cultural institutions in Poland and abroad.
