Shadow theatre workshop

The workshops will begin with a theoretical introduction, offering a brief overview of the history of shadow theatre, its most common forms, and essential technical aspects necessary for creative work within this medium.
The practical part will focus on exploring the nature of shadows — especially the human shadow. Shadows will be observed, chased, distorted, named, adapted to body movement, and used to create simple interactions and dialogues. Practical exercises will include shadow effects such as enlarging, shrinking, and the illusion of "something behind something."
The final stage will involve developing original shadow miniatures, created in a technique of choice. The workshop will conclude with a presentation of the participants’ work.
