Night of shooting stars with live music
Beryllium
Shadow has always symbolized mystery – it hides the unknown, evokes fear, but also offers shelter. It serves as a metaphor for inner states: hidden emotions, unacknowledged desires, or an unwanted past. It can lead into darkness, but also become a space for reflection and change. This is what the music of Beryllium explores – improvised, intuitive, rooted in sonic experimentation that activates the listener’s imagination.
The band was formed in 2022 by Michał Górczyński (clarinets, electronics) and Andrzej Izdebski (electronics, guitars), continuing their long-standing collaboration at the intersection of electroacoustic music, sonorism, and free improvisation. Both artists are known for their work in theater, film, avant-garde, and even popular music – having collaborated with Kazik Staszewski, Tony Levin, Paweł Mykietyn, Teoniki Rożynek, and Ralph Kaminski, among others.
Beryllium is conceived as an open artistic platform, exploring connections between sound, image, movement, and space – drawing inspiration from the legacy of the Polish Radio Experimental Studio and their own experience in composing for radio plays and theater productions.
