A play about tears - for ages 5 and up
Two Clowns squeeze out various types of tears. They behave differently depending on the type. A tear of joy jumps with happiness, a tear of love tastes like a kiss, a tear of farewell rolls heavily down the face. Those who dare will also cry a tear of fear here. It will be placed in a special container - so that no one will be afraid anymore.
A crocodile will appear in the show. But crocodiles don't really cry.
With just the right amount of water and a pinch of salt, puppeteers Ulrike Kley and Samira Wenzel set out to find the treasure in every tear they cry. Are tears of sadness heavier than others? Where do the tears that must not be shown go? Is it possible to fit all 5 million tears we cry in a lifetime into one play?
Note, there will be some splashing here.
